Quarter Horse

So the Quarter Horse Congress takes place here in Columbus every October. I don't know how they get anything done, though... anytime there's a vote, all you hear is 'nay.'

On a related note, is the Kentucky Thoroughbred Horse its own breed? Because that's the horse on their state quarter. I've heard, though, that the horse on the quarter is a quarter horse. Which would be amusing. I just don't know my horses.
