it smells like... pork and beans!

I am the epitome of health!!
AMP for breakfast, ice cream for brunch. Wonder what's for lunch...

I saw Kurt Vonnegut at a forum at school last night. He's 83 now (!!) and this was his last paid public appearance. aww... but yeah. We got there an hour before it was supposed to start and we almost didn't make it in. The line snaked inside and pretty much filled it -- and then there were probably close to a thousand people outside in line. We were in that group. They had seats for 1500. We were probably three or four hundredth in the line, just outside, and got some of the last seats in the auditorium. It was nuts. He was great, though. Vonnegut's one of the best ever. The one tip he gave on creative writing is to always, always, always avoid semicolons.

speaking of writing, I did a paper for my 'college handholding 101' class on how engineering contributes to societal issues... or whatever. This was in the instructions: "Use correct grammar, capitalization and punctuation write a two-page, double-spaced report."

There's not much wrong with it, but there's enough to bother me. And to classify it as pretty funny -- at least to me.

so much work... back to that now. blegh.
